Wilma Ann Toy
Wilma Ann Toy peacefully slipped into eternity on Friday, February 24, 2023. She was a remarkable woman in many ways and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and to the many she impacted along the way. She was a woman of incredible joy. She lived life to the fullest overcoming many challenges. She was kind and compassionate and left an indelible mark of joy on all who encountered her. We rejoice that she was used by God to bring joy and laughter to all around her.
Wilma was the youngest of four children born in Bourbon County, Kentucky, to her loving parents, Edith and Charles Toy, who precede her in death, along with her brother Don Toy. Survivors include her sister Rowena Curtsinger, her brother Joe Toy, sister-in-law Linda Toy, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, precious friends including Charlotte and Roy Tincher, Barbara Fryman, Sheila Morgan Klingshirn, her roommate Ms. Jean and beloved friends and staff at Cedar Ridge Health Campus.
Wilma graduated from Bourbon County High School and was a beautician by trade. She enjoyed working at salons in both Cynthiana and Paris. She was an active member of the Ruddles Mills Christian Church serving in the Nursery for more than thirty years.
Wilma never missed an adventure while at Cedar Ridge. Whether it was riding a camel, an elephant or in an airplane, she was the first to grab her jacket and “pocketbook” and head out the door. She loved playing Bingo, eating out at Cracker Barrel or Biancke’s and walking on the treadmill.
Visitation is Saturday, March 4 at 10am followed by a service at 12pm at Ruddles Mills Christian Church located at 3804 Ruddles Mills-Millersburg Road in Paris, Kentucky. Graveside service to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a monetary donation in Wilma’s memory to the Ruddles Mills Christian Church, Mid-India Christian Missions or Hospice.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
