Court rules on Millersburg Mayor’s lawsuit vs. council

Circuit Court Judge Jeremy Mattox denied in a ruling last week, a motion sought by Millersburg Mayor Lee Hopkins seeking a Temporary Restraining Order and Injunction against the Millersburg Council. The denial entered into the record on September 12 states “IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Court hereby DENIES the plaintiff’s motion to Enter Order for Temporary Restraining Order and Temporary Injunction Pursuant to CR65 for the reasons set forth in the Defendant’s Response.”
In the earlier lawsuit the Mayor had asked the Court to “declare null and void any and all bonds, notes, contracts and written obligations to have been entered into by Council members, but which have not been executed by the Mayor.”
