Eva Benton Elam

Eva Benton Elam, age 79, wife of Steven W. Elam, died Saturday June 29, 2024. She was born January 14, 1945 in Richmond, Kentucky, daughter of the late Luther and Rosa Bicknell Benton. Eva was a graduate of Madison Central High School, Appalachian School of Nursing, and Lexington Community College. She was a retired licensed practical nurse who had worked for the Weaver Corporation, Trane Company, and Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital.
Eva was a member of the Bourbon County Homemakers, Bluegrass Garden Club, Friends of the Paris-Bourbon County Library, and had been a volunteer for Bluegrass Care Navigators as well as worked with the Sanders Brown Center for Aging in various studies.
Eva is survived by her husband, Steve; three children, Daniel Benton (Mary) Elam, Stephany (Jonathan) Livingood, William Charles Elam; three grandchildren, Christian Honican, Rhiannon Livingood, and Jacob Elam; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
