Shirley Ann Earlywine Hadley
Shirley Ann Earlywine Hadley, aged 84, passed away peacefully on the 18th of September 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born to the late James Daniel and Mary Mamie Wagoner Earlywine on May 12, 1940, in Millersburg, Kentucky. A warm-hearted soul and embodiment of kindness and gentleness, Shirley’s life was a testimony to the love she poured into every relationship.
Shirley walked through life with a sense of joy that she readily shared with others. After graduating from Bourbon County High School in 1959, she devoted 25 years of her life to working in the Bourbon County High School Cafeteria. Outside of work, she was involved with her congregation at the Paris Church of Christ, where her faith and her love for her community flourished by volunteering at the church’s God’s Pantry Food Bank.
Her passions reached beyond her professional and spiritual life into her hobbies. Shirley found great pleasure in nurturing her flowers, engaging in the delicate art of crocheting, hunting for treasures at yard sales, actively participating in a ceramics club, and cherishing moments with her beloved dogs.
Shirley’s legacy of love and caring is carried on by her loving family. She is survived by her two devoted sons, David (Karen) Hadley and Michael Hadley; two cherished grandchildren, Gabrielle Hadley and Ian Hadley; and an extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will continue to honor her memory. She is preceded in death by her caring husband, John Winston Hadley, her brother Marvin Earlywine, and her sisters Thelma Frederick, Lillian Clark, Pauline Goosey, Ruby Tolliver, and Narnie Earlywine.
Shirley Ann Earlywine Hadley will be deeply missed but remembered for her gentle spirit and the unabashed kindness that she shared with all who knew her.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 AM Saturday September 21, 2024, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Bro. Dan Bishop. Burial to follow in the Paris Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 10:30 AM Saturday September 21, 2024, until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to PAWS, 6 Legion Dr., Paris, KY or to Bourbon County Backpack Program, 603 Millersburg Rd., Paris, KY.
