Kenneth Griffin Williams, age 92, widower of Judith Allen Williams, departed this life on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at The Breckenridge Memory Care in Lexington, Kentucky. Kenneth was born in Fayette County, Kentucky on December 7, 1931, the son of the late Cary Alford and Sarah Griffin Williams. His was a large and loving family known by many for their warmth, faith, friendship to all, and commitment to each other. He was a graduate of Lafayette High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving as a Corporal in the Korean War. He was a lifelong successful and respected farmer in Bourbon County and served on the board of directors for Paris Ag-Credit. With his wife Judith, he was an active and loved member of Paris First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) having served as a deacon and elder and contributing greatly to that community over many decades. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sons, Phillip Williams, Stephen Craig Williams; brothers Winfred A. “Buddy” Williams, Edward Williams, and a sister, Mary Ann Kuykendall.
Surviving is a daughter, Ellen Williams Kracht; grandchildren, Danielle Williams (Chase) Toadvine, Nathaniel Williams, and Caillie Kracht. Also surviving are his siblings, Cary (Sue) Williams, Wanda Thompson, Linda Sullivan, Brenda Cotter; a daughter-in-law, Amy Roy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial gathering on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2024 at the church with Rev. Jeff Bell officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Paris Cemetery.
