Marian Robertson Howerton Kibler
Born in Paris, one of Kentucky’s finest, Marian Robertson Howerton Kibler left this earth on February 13, 2025, and was welcomed into heaven. She was a fun loving, classy lady that loved people unconditionally and, oh boy, could she dance! Marian retired from helping everyone shop at Sears, then moved down the street to Steinmart and was a huge success dressing us in the Boutique. Marian loved her UK Wildcats and was a Kentucky Colonel. She was an avid Jeopardy and Family Feud fan and tried to work her schedule to never miss watching Alex and Steve. Marian was filled with joy and laughter as she waltzed her journey through life. She enjoyed traveling and was always ready for an adventure. When her boys were younger, watching them excel in sports including track, football and golf was something that made her cheer as she never missed an event. Listening to Lillian sing her favorite song, New York-New York, gave Marian true joy. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grands was a play date Oma/Grandmommy always looked forward to. Everyone was her favorite! This world is a better place because of the kindness Marian spread. As we all learn to live without Marian, it will put a smile on our face when we think of her and remember she danced like nobody’s watching. She would have it no other way.
Marian is survived by her sons, Harris Howerton (Connie) of Evansville, John Howerton, Jr. (Shari) of Beckley, WV, Jeff Howerton (LuAnne) of Evansville and Robert Howerton (Kandy Weatherholt and daughter, Cassidy Weatherholt) of Tell City, IN; grandchildren, Robb Stone, Phoebe Assena O’Neil (Luke), Olivia Alfano, Staci Bruce Williams (Terry), Harris Howerton, Jr. (Bridgette), Sarah Porter (Tye), Germaine Drummond (Ken), Ashleigh Minton (Brady) and Taylor Howerton; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Doris McMahan of Louisville, KY; and brother, Don Robertson, Charlottesville, VA.
In addition to her parents, Harris and Violet Robertson, Marian was preceded in death by her husbands, John Howerton, Sr. and Bill Kibler; daughter, Lillian Alfano; and granddaughter, Brittany Howerton.
