Frank “Gill” Aulick

November 6, 1950 – June 3, 2025 Frank “Gill” Aulick, 74, a lifelong horseman and devoted enthusiast of boats and classic automobiles, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, in Pensacola, Florida, near his home in Perdido Beach, Alabama—a place that held deep meaning for him and his family.
Gill spent the majority of his life in Bourbon County, Kentucky, where he proudly managed Cedar Point Farm, a thoroughbred boarding and breaking operation founded in 1950 by his parents. His connection to the horse industry ran deep: his father was born at Hamburg Place, where Gill’s grandfather served as broodmare manager. His father later oversaw operations at Elk Hill Farm and Spendthrift Farm—where Gill was born—further extending the family’s legacy in the world of thoroughbreds.
Beyond his lifelong commitment to horses, Gill found great joy on the water and behind the wheel. Whether captaining a boat or restoring a car, he cherished the sense of freedom and craftsmanship that came with engines and motion. His mechanical skill was rivaled only by his quiet generosity and kind-hearted spirit.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Elizabeth Miles Aulick Robertson (Eric), and his treasured grandsons, Rusher Davis Robertson and Miles Ryan Robertson. He is also survived by his sister, Amy Aulick Brannock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Gill Aulick and Frank Aulick Jr.
Gill was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Paris, Kentucky, where faith and fellowship were meaningful parts of his life.
A private celebration of life will be held later this summer in Alabama.
