Michael Anthony Rison

Michael Anthony Rison, beloved father, grandfather, and brother passed away at the age of 56 on July 17, 2025, in Pikeville, KY. Born on August 2, 1968, in Paris, KY, Michael was a man known for his humor, his exceptional handiness, and his innate ability to make friends with everyone he met. A true Jack of All Trades, Michael could often be found with a tool in hand, a project in progress, and a joke on his lips. He was a man who could brighten the mood of any room with a single quip, and whose generosity with his time and talents endeared him to his family and friends.
Michael leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love. His life was shared, and his memory will be cherished, by his son, Joshua Rison; his beloved grandchildren, Josiah Rison and Anyah Hopkins; and his siblings, Earl (Cassandra) Rison, Donna Holman (Mike Begley), Ann Rison, and Monica (Mike) Dickerson. Each will hold dear the myriad of memories created with Michael throughout the years. Preceding him in death were his wife, Crystal Bills Rison; his parents, Henry Frederick and Dolly Bell Waugh Frederick; and his brothers, William and Timmy Rison.
Despite the loss of these vital family members, Michael’s warmth and vivacity ensured that their loving influence continued on in his daily life and relationships. As we bid farewell to Michael Anthony Rison, we celebrate a life lived fully, kindly, and with an ever-present smile. His spirit, larger than life itself, leaves a beacon of cheer in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
