Lisa Anne Willoughby

Lisa Anne Willoughby passed away peacefully in her home on October 2, 2025 in Venice, Florida after a long illness. She was 65.
Lisa was born on June 1, 1960 in Louisville, Kentucky to her parents, Arthur and Dorothy Hans. She graduated from the Fairdale High School in 1978. Lisa graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1982 with a degree in Elementary Education and Masters in Education from Georgetown College in 1986. She married Mark Thomas Willoughby in 1980. The Willoughby’s moved to Paris, KY where Lisa worked as a kindergarten teacher at Paris Elementary. Lisa was also a teacher at Cassidy Elementary school in Lexington, KY. She retired in 2012 and dedicated her remaining time to enjoying the Florida lifestyle with her husband.
Mrs. Willoughby was a wonderful mother of three and loving wife. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church in Venice and known for her soft and caring manor. She enjoyed outdoor activities and spending time with family.
Mrs. Willoughby is survived by her husband Mark Thomas Willoughby, son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Alissa Covington, KY; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Jacob Singleton Somerset, KY; daughter Laura Willoughby Lexington, KY; sister, Mary Arntz and Steve, Mt. Washington, KY; brother Artie Hans; Kissimmee, FL; sister-in-law, Earlene Shirley and Mike, Hillview, KY; and four grandchildren, Kayden Johnson, Savannah Singleton, Sadie Singleton, Kyle Singleton. She is preceded in death by her brother Steve Hans.
Mrs. Willoughby will be buried in a graveside ceremony on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 1PM. A memorial will take place at the Paris Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mrs.Willoughby’s life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Paris Animal Welfare Society at Pawspets.org.
