Kim Cee Aplon
Kim Cee Aplon was born on October 30, 1956 in Paris, Kentucky to Shirley Fields (mother). She departed this life on August 10, 2025. She stayed in Paris, Kentucky through her entire childhood and in 1974 after graduating high school she enlisted in the U.S. Army. From the young age, Kim was known for her kindness, the love she had for her family and her straightforward nature. She would tell you like it was and embrace you with the love at the same time. When it came time to be a helping hand, she was the first in line.
Kim Cee married the love of her life, Kenneth Wayne Aplon. Sr. on July 3, 1976 and together they shared 49 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Kim was a devoted partner, a source of strength, a guiding light to her family and the words of the definition of unconditional love on Earth. No matter how far or how long in-between she loved you the same. Never wanting anyone to love in their own hurt or anger, she always said, “Baby you gotta let that go, don’t let it block your blessings.”
Her greatest love was the lord and she stood by His word. Being raised in the church, she chose to raise her family the same way. She made sure they knew the word of God and the power He brings. She was devoted to justice as a U.S. Postal Service union steward where she met some of her BEST friends. She defended her fellow employees for 28 years prior to retiring. She believed everyone deserved a second or even a third chance and she stood on that wholeheartedly. Beyond her role as a loving wife, she was devoted to her graduations, college drop-offs and everything in-between. There was nothing she wasn’t willing to do and with God she ALWAYS made a way. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile.
Kim was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Shirley Fields, and her sister, Sylvia Lee Fields.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Aplon. Sr., two children Kenneth Aplon. Jr., and Janeele Aplon, five beautiful grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother Renardo Fields, one sister Connie Hutsell and many other relatives and friends whose lives she touched deeply.
