Jeff Davis Gilvin Jr.

Jeff Davis Gilvin Jr., age 79, husband of Charlene Hinkle Gilvin, died Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with ALS. He was born September 25, 1946 in Bethel, Kentucky, son of the late Jeff Davis and Bessie Jewell Gilvin. Jeff was a lifelong farmer and member of the Little Rock Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Hinkle Gilvin; two daughters, Rebecca (Jeremy) Havens, Lisa Beatty; two granddaughters, Brooklyn Havens, Maddilyn “Maddie” Havens; sister, Carolyn Randolph; special family members, Ramona Eubanks, Paula Hottinger, Jan Fuller; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Minister Scott Riggs officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Sharpsburg. Casket bearers will be Jeremy Havens, Neal Smits, Travis Smits, Allen Hinkle, Matthew Tipton, Christopher Hinkle, Jeffery Randolph, and Shane Fuller. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the ALS Association at www.als.org
