Sara Louise Carter

Sara Louise Carter, widow of Edward Thomas “Buck” Carter, age 90, departed this life on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Harrison Nursing and Rehabilitation. Sara was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky on March 26, 1935, the daughter of the late Archie and Ruth Berryman Martin, was a high school graduate, and was retired from the position of Director of Senior Citizens. She was a member of Spears Mill Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, and playing bingo seven days a week. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Gayle Martin.
Surviving is a daughter, Kimberly Anne Carter; a grandson, Travis Campbell; and a granddaughter, Melissa Campbell Watkins. Also surviving are her sisters, Lois Claypool, June Hyska; and a sister-in-law, Yvonne Martin.
A memorial service honoring both Sara and Buck was held at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Monday, November 10, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Rex Graham. A memorial gathering began at 4:00 p.m. until time for the service.
