Barbara Shelley Sharp

Barbara Shelley Sharp, age 90, retired business manager for Sam/Dan Cummins Chevrolet, wife of Douglas Sharp, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 30, 1935 in Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Pearl Dudgeon Shelley Williams.
Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church-Paris, former member of General Motors Accounting Counsel, Kentucky-Ohio-Indiana Tech Club, Automotive Data Processing Committee, Bourbon County Homemakers, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Some of her greatest accomplishments were to mentor her young office personnel for their future in accounting procedures. Barbara got her greatest joy from her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were just beginning to live their lives.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Sharp; son, Tracy Douglas (June) Sharp; grandchildren, Dana (Lafe) Hurst, Lee Douglas (Tess) Sharp; and great grandchildren, Lafe Douglas “L.J.” Hurst, Piper Naomi Sharp, Jasper Levi Sharp, Jude Abel Sharp, Miles Ellis. In addition to her mother, Barbara was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Karen Hurst Sharp; sisters, Marie Davis, Doris Trean; and brothers, Lillard and Ralph “Baby” Shelley.
