Alma Adamson Evans
Alma Adamson Evans, 93, wife of the late Cabby Evans, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at her home in Carlisle.
Born September 8, 1932 in Robertson County to the late James Thomas and Verdie Cooper Adamson, she was a former nurse aide in both Bourbon and Nicholas County Hospitals, a former employee of Bluegrass Industries, and a member of the Pleasant Valley First Church of God.
Survivors include her three sons: Michael Evans, Mark (Julia) Evans and Marty Evans all of Carlisle; a brother– Carlos Adamson, and sister– Clarice Jolly, both of Fleming County; six grandchildren: Courtney Cooper, Amanda Evans, Danelle Jessee, Carly Evans, and Brad and Anthony Marker, along with six great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Evans Marker and John Henry Marker, II; a grandson, Michael T. Evans; and nine brothers and sisters.
A memorial service was held at 6:00 P.M. Monday, December 15th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Greg Tucker.
Visitation was held from 5:00 P.M. Monday until the time of services.
