Larry Wayne Elam

Larry Wayne Elam, husband of Barbara Green Elam, departed this life on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Bourbon Community Hospital, at the age of 83 years. Larry was born in Paris, Kentucky on February 17, 1942, the son of the late John Thomas and Beulah Mae Vickers Elam, was a graduate of North Middletown High School, and attended the University of Kentucky. He served his country in the National Guards, had a successful career having worked as a plant manager at Dura Corporation and Weaver Corporation, was the assistant plant manager at Western-Pacific Storage, as well as having worked at Link Belt. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time playing golf and was a former member of the Stoner Creek Country Club, was a huge fan of the U.K. basketball and football, and was a member of Central Baptist Church of Paris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Sue Brewer.
Along with his wife Barbara, he is survived by his son, Larry Todd Elam; two stepsons, Dale (Becky) Arnold, Gayle (Barby) Arnold; Four grandchildren, Nikki Arnold, Justin Arnold, Kaitlyn (Mick) Seither, and Clay Arnold. Also surviving is a great grandchild, Lailah Arnold; a brother, Gene (Sue) Elam; sister, Linda Kay (Buddy) Florence; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service and inurnment for Larry Wayne Elam were at Evergreen Memory Gardens on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jonathan Graves officiating. www.hintonturner.com
