Lester Kelly Combs
Lester Kelly Combs, known as “Trigger” to many family and friends, age 80, departed his life on Thursday evening, March 26, 2026 at his home. Lester was born on January 3, 1946, the son of the late Burt and Juanita Cross Combs, was a veteran of the United States Navy, and a retired insurance agent. He was a dedicated brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and loved his family deeply. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wallace “Butch” Combs, daughter, Kathy McDonald, former wife and mother to his children, Wanda Combs.
He is survived by one daughter, Lisa (John) Duvall; a son, Alvin D. (Trish) Combs, grandchildren, Mark (Ashley) McDonald, Niki (Adam) Wainscott, Lauren (Zach) Muench, Lindsay (Garrett) Clevinger, Maria Duvall, and David Lipetzki. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Mallory Wainscott, Madison Wainscott, Remi McDonald, Caiden Black, Daxton Muench, Maverick Muench, Elijah Duvall, Braylen Duvall and Calen Duvall; siblings Pamela Kay Watts, Kimberly Edwards; and several nieces and nephews, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service with military honors was held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. A memorial gathering was held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home prior to the graveside service. www.hintonturner.com.
