Glenna Faye Oney

Glenna Faye Oney, age 81, passed away on April 15, 2026. She was born on April 4, 1945, in Magoffin County, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by devotion to her family, faith, and the many people whose lives she touched along the way.
Glenna was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt whose greatest joy came from being surrounded by those she loved. She is survived by her four children, Reva Thompson, Jackie Oney, Greg Oney, and James Jr. Oney. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Sandy Mingua, Cody Oney, Matthew Cook, Alyce Cassity, Sarah Oney, and Melissa Thompson, who brought her great pride and happiness throughout her life.
She is also survived by her brother, Jesse Whitt; her sisters, Angela Craft, Geri Hineline, Peggy Dixon, Vickie Whitt, and Judy Kuns; and her uncle, Paul Whitt. Glenna cherished her extended family and the many bonds she shared with them over the years. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Glenna was preceded in death by her daughter, Belina Oney; her brothers, Clifford Caldwell and Jimmy Whitt; her sisters, Janet Whitt and Barbra Shreve; and her stepmother, Eva Whitt. Though her family grieves her passing, they take comfort in the many memories she leaves behind and the lasting example of strength and love she provided throughout her life.
Glenna retired from Walmart after years of dedicated work. She was known for her dependable nature, kind spirit, and steady presence. Her work ethic and commitment reflected the same care and responsibility she brought to every part of her life. Those who worked with her and knew her professionally will remember her as a faithful and hardworking woman.
Faith was an important part of Glenna’s life, and she attended River of Life Ministries. Her church family and spiritual life were meaningful to her, and she found comfort and fellowship in her faith. She lived with quiet grace and a gentle heart, and her belief in God was a source of strength throughout her journey.
Glenna Faye Oney will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to family, and the warmth she shared with others. Her life was a blessing to those around her, and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Krista Hampton, 3:00 PM Saturday April 18, 2026, at River of Life Ministries, 616 Clintonville Rd, Paris, KY.
Visitation will be from 2:30 PM Saturday, April 18, 2026, until the hour of the service at the church.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
