Dennie V. Ferrell

Dennie V. Ferrell, age 90, widower of Emma Bussell Ferrell, departed this life on Monday, April 14, 2026, at Bourbon Heights Nursing Facility. Dennie was born on June 5, 1935, in Menifee County, Kentucky, the son of the late Lloyd Garland and Ellen Mullins Ferrell, was a veteran of the United States Army, and a member Southland Christian Church. In addition to being a lifelong farmer, he was a former board member of the Bourbon County Farm Bureau; the Harold Wagoner Scholarship Committee, Bourbon County Livestock Association, and had been honored by being named the Conservation Farmer of the Year.
In addition to his parents, and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Dennie Lee Ferrell, a sister, Peggy Ferrell, and a sister-in-law, Betty Ferrell.
Surviving is a daughter, Jennifer (Dean) Favorite; grandchildren, Debralee (Billy) Wade, Hillary (Andrew) Norton, Todd (Alex) Ferrell, Zachary Favorite, Samuel (Jaclyn) Favorite, Sara Wells, and Paige Florence. Also surviving are eighteen great grandchildren; a brother, Glenwood Ferrell; a daughter-in-law, Julie Ferrell, as well as his nieces and nephews.
The visitation for Dennie V. Ferrell was on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 a.m. with graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at Paris Cemetery, Pastor Greg Chandler officiating. Interment immediately followed with casket bearers being Zachary Favorite, Sam Favorite, Todd Ferrell, Dean Favorite, Gene Ferrell, and Glenwood Ferrell.
