Doris Gene Waters

Doris Gene Waters, Jr., age 66, husband of Connie Blair-Waters, departed this life on Monday, April 20, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Doris was born in Paris, Kentucky on February 23, 1960, the son of the late Doris Gene Waters, Sr. and Pauline Myers (Frank) Rinesmith, who survives. He was the owner and operator of Waters Electric where he worked for many years as an electrician and when not working, you would often find him hunting or fishing. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Caleb Mitchell.
Along with his wife, mother and stepfather, he is survived by a daughter, Holly Waters; a son, Michael Waters; stepchildren, Patrick Ritchie (Susan), Steve Gray, Ashley Willoughby, Jason Willoughby, Michael Willoughby; grandchildren, Conner Mitchell, Katlyne Waters, Bradley Waters, Haley Waters, Bentley Setters, Hayden Turner, Paul Ritchie, Taylor Ritchie, Bailey Gray, and Destiny Gray. Also surviving are his sisters, Cindy White, Paula Sexton, Diane Morgan; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The visitation for Doris Gene Waters, Jr. will be on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 a.m. with service beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Todd St John officiating Interment was in Paris Cemetery with casket bearers being Ricky Blair, Brandon Miller, Michael Waters, Bradley Waters, Steve Gray, and Bryson Thurman. www.hintonturner.com
