Dr. Julia Blake Robinson
Dr. Julia Blake Robinson, 48, of Versailles KY passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with a rare cancer, surrounded by her family and friends.
Born on November 14, 1977 to Barbara G. Robinson and Calvin Robinson, Julie was known for her positivity, fun energy, kindness, empathy, selfless giving, gift-giving, humor, and lighting up a room with her beautiful smile. She was a proud Class of 1996 graduate from Woodford County High School where she loved her classmates, was involved in everything, voted Class Clown, was Student Council President, played volleyball, was a friend to all, and always looked out for her little sister.
Julie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at WKU and was on the Speech & Debate team. Known for her intelligence and quick wit, she then earned her Doctorate degree at U of L and later did a Post-Doc Fellowship at UNC Chapel Hill. She later dedicated her career as a behavior specialist, giving her time to children and adults with disabilities.
Julie was a devoted sister, daughter, Aunt, and friend who loved laughs and concerts with friends, hosting slumber parties with her sisters, nephew, and nieces, shopping and fashion, traveling to warm places, Bingo, pool days, and holding hands.
Julie is survived by her siblings- Susan (Chad) Rudzik, Rachel (Cody) Redwine, Laura Robinson, Rodney(Andrea) Robinson; Father, Calvin Robinson; Nieces- Brooklyn, Atlas, Athena; Nephew- Brady; special puppy, Mercedes; best friends- Earl Littrell, Missy and John Hillock, and Stephen Barnett, and last but not least the love of her life, Brandon Smither. She is preceded in death by her Mom, Barbara Robinson, Grandparents, Christine and William Cloyd, and puppy Mittens.
A celebration of Julie’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Rev. Randy Nation officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Crest Cemetery. Serving as pall bearers will be Brandon Smither, Chad Rudzik, Earl Littrell, Cody Redwine, Rodney Robinson, Stephen Barnett, John Hillock, and Brady Rudzik. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 2:00pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
