Helen Louise Lister McDonald Fryman

Helen Louise Lister McDonald Fryman, 95, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born March 3, 1931 in Boyle County to the late Leon and Lillian Worthington Lister, she was a devoted homemaker and worked for several years as a substitute teacher. She enjoyed gardening and working outside, and loved to grow things.
Surviving are three sons: Richard (Amy) McDonald, Kenneth A. McDonald and Chuck McDonald (Pam Frederick); four daughters: Joyce M. (Herb) Booth, Judy M. Purvis, Brenda (Joe) Moseman and Sandra Edwards; a son-in-law, Larry Trussell; a sister, Patricia Smith; 13 grandchildren: Michael (Brittany) Booth, Dalton (Diana) McDonald, Susan Trussell, Rodney Trussell, Roger Trussell, Kim Trussell (Joe Bates), Jenna (David) Smoot, Craig McDonald, Tron Edwards, Shannon Edwards, Jerrica Edwards, Brandi Moseman and Robert Allen Medley; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Shirley Trussell; a granddaughter, Francis Medley Gonzales; two sisters, Sada Bennett and Jean Lister; and two infant brothers.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 20th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Pastor Colby Frederick with burial following in Carlisle Cemetery.
Casketbearers were Michael Booth, Herb Booth, Dalton McDonald (grandson), Rodney Trussell, Roger Trussell, and Guy Turner.
Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. Tuesday.
