Richard Wayne Estes

Richard Wayne Estes of Paris, Kentucky passed away June 6, 2026, at home surrounded by love.
He was born September 6, 1948, to William Estes and Addie Browning Estes at home in Cawood, Kentucky.
He graduated from Hall High, went to Cumberland College and served in the US army. He was a Vietnam veteran.
He went to work in 1971 at Ford Motor company in Monroe, Michigan. He retired in 2001 after 30 years.
He married Linda Lewis in 1973. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, DeAnna Nicole Estes and Angela Estes all of Paris. In addition, he is survived by his brother, Martin (Rose) Estes of Galion, Ohio, his sister, Helen Bufe Waynesville, N.C. and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Paul, Bud and Earl Estes and sisters Billie Todoran and Alma June Bray.
Richard loved his family, basketball and the UK Wildcats. He was a Christian man and believed in the Baptist faith. He was a member of First Baptist Church Monroe, Michigan until moving to Paris. He attended Central Baptist church in Paris for many years.
According to his wishes, he was taken to Care Cremation. There will be no service. Burial will be private at a later date.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Horn for his many years of care and Bluegrass Care Navigators for their care in his final months.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators, disabled veterans or a charity of their choice.
