Alberta Katherine Jones Russell

Alberta Katherine Jones Russell, age 84, widow of James Cleo Russell Jr., died Friday, June 26, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. She was born August 4, 1941 in Bath County, daughter of the late Harold Johnson and Lucy Guy Jones. Alberta was a member of Ruddles Mill Christian Church and had taught in home physical fitness.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Wagner, Lisa (Andy) Jacqman; two sons, Robert Anthony Trabant, Billy Joe Trabant; sister, Mary Margaret (Jim) Dunn; brothers, Rex Dean Jones, Virgil Reed Jones; and ten grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Alberta was preceded in death by brothers, Harold J. Jones, Charles Monroe Jones, and Jimmy Lewis Jones
Visitation was at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 28 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. with Rev. John McGuire officiating. Interment was in the Millersburg Cemetery. Alberta’s grandchildren will serve as casket bearers. www.hintonturner.com.
