Louis Richard Faust

Louis was the husband of Saundra “Sunny” Meadows Faust, and together they shared many cherished memories. He was a proud father to Dianna Marie (Tod) Parrish, Retired Army Major Louis Douglas (Lynda) Faust, and Retired Navy Lt. Commander Michael Todd (Dior) Faust. He also held close the memory of his son, Richard Curtis Faust and his parents, Louis Herbert and Katherine Parham Faust, who preceded him in death. Louis treasured his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather, and he found great joy in the lives of his seven grandchildren, Lindsay Brumley (Craig) Everman, Kelsey Brumley, Louis Chilton (Kylie) Faust, Curtis (Gabriel) Faust, Alaina Faust, Michael Faust, and Anna Faust. He also loved his stepchildren, Rhonda (William) Sealey and Scott (Lisa) Meadows, along with his step grandchildren, Zachary (Sarah) Wilson and Brent Estes. His family continued to grow with the blessing of his great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lyla, Louis, Jude, Rorick, Auralia, Curtis, Liam, and Tristan, as well as his three step great-grandchildren, Joey, Gigi, and Zachary. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Seacat and Patricia Ferguson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Louis dedicated many years of his life to his work as a retired Journeyman Pipe Fitter and Welder. He was a lifetime member of Pipe Fitter Union #502, where he earned the respect of his fellow workers through his skill, reliability, and strong work ethic. He also served his country honorably as an Engineman First Class in the United States Coast Guard, a role that reflected his sense of duty and commitment to service.
Faith was an important part of Louis’s life, and he was a member of the Catholic Church of the Annunciation. He lived as a Christian and carried his beliefs with humility and sincerity throughout his years. His faith, along with his character, guided the way he treated others and the way he approached life’s many seasons.
Louis enjoyed the simple and meaningful pleasures of life. He loved deer hunting and took pride in ornamental iron work, where his creativity and craftsmanship came together in lasting form. He especially enjoyed making metal firepits for family and friends, gifts that reflected both his talent and his generous spirit. These interests were a true expression of who he was, and they brought joy not only to him but also to those fortunate enough to receive the results of his hands and heart.
Those who knew Louis will remember him for his friendliness, intelligence, and creativity, as well as for the love he gave so freely to his family. His life was one of service, devotion, and quiet strength, and his memory will remain a lasting comfort to all who loved him.
Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday July 17, 2026, at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation, 1107 Main St., Paris, KY by Father Michael Hickin. Burial to follow at 2:00 PM Friday July 17, 2026, in the Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Hwy., Louisville, KY.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday July 16, 2026, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY with the Rosary at 7:30PM.
Pallbearer are Louis Douglas Faust, Tod Parrish, Jim Crowder, Louis Chilton Faust, Craig Everman and Richard Hinkson. Honorary pallbearers are Kelsey Brumley and Joseph Wilson.
