Betty Jean Lyle Rupard
Betty Jean Lyle Rupard, of North Middletown, Kentucky, widow of Robert Franklin Rupard, departed this life on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at her home, having attained the age of 95 years. Betty was born in North Middletown on October 17,1930, the daughter of the late George Wesley and Gladys Mae Grayson Lyle, was a graduate of North Middletown High School and had served her family faithfully as a homemaker. Having been a member of North Middletown Christian Church for over 70 years, she was involved in many aspects of the church but two of her favorites were Circle 5 and the Ceramics Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid golfer, but her favorite thing was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. As she stated in her own words, “I have had a good life and been blessed”.
Surviving are two sons, Mark Franklin (Barbara) Rupard, Michael Robert (Denise) Rupard; grandchildren, Mark Aaron (Lynndesa) Rupard, Brian Franklin (Bethany) Rupard, Morgan Michael (Shayla) Rupard, Megan Loraine Rupard; great grandchildren, Boston Wayne Rupard, Aspen Marie Rupard, and Parker Gail Rupard. Also surviving is a sister, Ruth Grimes; as well as two brothers, William H. “Bill” Lyle, and Paul W. Lyle.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Norma Lyle and Jane Lyle.
The funeral service for Betty Jean Lyle Rupard will be at 1:00 p.m. at the North Middletown Christian Church on Saturday, July 18, 2026, with Rev. Stephanie Moon officiating. Interment will follow in North Middletown cemetery with casket bearers being Debbie Poynter, Greg Lyle, David Lyle, David Grimes, Larry Lyle, Randy Lyle, and Chris Poynter. The grandchildren and great grandchildren will serve as honorary bearers. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church until time for the service.
