Marty A. McCarty, age 55, of Paris, Kentucky, passed away on July 27, 2026. He was born on July 24, 1971, in Paris, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by quiet strength, steady devotion, and a deep appreciation for the people and places that shaped him.
Marty was the beloved son of the late Kenneth M. McCarty and Betty J. Hawkins McCarty, whose love and guidance remained an important part of his life. He is survived by his two brothers, Darrell McCarty and Ken W. McCarty and his wife Krystal, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory and the many ways he touched their lives.
Marty attended Bourbon County High School and later continued his education at Berea College, where he earned a degree in Ag Economics. His education reflected both his intelligence and his practical nature, and it helped shape the thoughtful, hardworking man he became. He valued learning, responsibility, and the importance of doing a job well, qualities that remained with him throughout his life.
He worked as a caretaker and was also a former employee of Lexmark. In both his work and his daily life, Marty was known for being dependable, kind, and willing to help wherever he was needed. He approached his responsibilities with humility and care, and those who knew him appreciated his steady presence and his genuine concern for others. His work ethic and quiet dedication left a lasting impression on coworkers, friends, and family alike.
Marty will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his loyalty to family, and the simple goodness he brought into the lives of those around him. He had a way of making others feel at ease, and his presence was one that brought comfort and familiarity. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Saturday August 15, 2026, at the Millersburg Cemetery with burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators.
