Charles Ray Collins

Charles Ray Collins, age 81, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, passed away on August 10, 2026. He was born on September 29, 1944, in Fayette County and lived a life marked by hard work, loyalty, and a steady devotion to the people and places he loved.
Charles spent his life serving others through honest labor and dependable friendship. He worked as a milkman, spent time working on horse farms, and later served as a bartender at the city club. In each of these roles, he was known for his strong work ethic, his easy manner, and the respect he earned from those around him. He understood the value of showing up, doing the job well, and treating people with kindness, and those qualities remained with him throughout his life.
He was also a longtime member of the city club, where he enjoyed the fellowship and companionship of many years. Being part of that community meant a great deal to him, and he valued the friendships and familiar faces that became part of his daily life. Charles appreciated simple pleasures, good conversation, and the comfort of being among people he knew and trusted.
Family was an important part of Charles’s life, he was survived by his sons, Kevin Collins, Jeff Collins, and Chris Collins. He is also survived by his siblings, Neville Collins, and Jane Carol Collins DeMarino. In addition, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including Paula Angel, Darrell Collins, Lisa Scudder, Janet Underwood, Jimmy Nelson, Timmy Collins, Gina Cross, Missy Collins, Malcolm Collins, and Marta Collins Marcum. He is also survived by his significant other Joan Earlywine and a special friend Kim Hatton. His family will remember him for the role he played in their lives and for the lasting presence he leaves behind.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Agnes Collins as well as his siblings Joyce Nelson, Kenneth Collins, Tommy Collins. Their memory remained a part of his story throughout his life, and he carried forward the values of family, perseverance, and humility that were instilled in him from an early age.
Those who knew Charles will remember a man who lived with quiet strength and a genuine spirit. He was dependable, familiar, and deeply rooted in the life he built through years of work and connection. His presence will be missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Charles Ray Collins leaves behind a legacy of dedication, friendship, and family devotion. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the many lives he touched along the way.
