Stanton Dean Summay

Stanton Dean Summay, 76, formerly of Millersburg, Kentucky, passed away September 8, 2026 in hospice at Veterans Hospital in Lexington after a brief illness. Born June 1, 1950 to Warren Stanton Summay and Geraldine O’Banion Summay of Millersburg, Dean was a lifelong lover of music who played piano and French horn.
He was a 1968 graduate of Bourbon County High School and attended Georgetown College. Dean enlisted in the United States Navy in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1978 as an Electronics Technician Radar second class (ETR-2). Following his military service, he was employed at Lockheed Martin. He was a member of Millersburg Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sister, Lee Anne Boswell (Robert) of Florence, Kentucky; four nieces and nephews, and twelve great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a great niece. A private graveside service was held Friday, September 11, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at Millersburg Cemetery. Hinton-Turner Funeral is in charge of arrangements. www.hintonturner.com
