Gary Wayne English

Gary Wayne English, 69, passed away on September 16, 2026, leaving behind a life marked by hard work, devotion to his Dogs, Squirrels, the occasional raccoon and the love he has for his family.
Gary made his living as a self-employed painter, a trade that reflected his steady hands, dependable nature, and pride in doing honest work. He approached life with determination and found a strong sense of joy and belonging in helping family with various projects wherever he could, and those qualities were evident in both his work and the way he cared for the people he loved. He was a man who valued simple things, meaningful relationships, and the comfort of being surrounded by family.
Family (including pets) was the center of Gary’s world. He is survived by his children, Amanda English Beatty, Michelle McCoy, Jessica King (Brandon Parker), Jeremy King, Melissa King, Joey King, Oreo and Puppy (His Dogs). He also leaves behind his longtime girlfriend, Angie Nott, who shared in his life and companionship. Gary is further survived by his siblings, Ronnie (Charolotte) English, Betty McCormick, Johnnie English, Clarence (Sally) English, and JoAnn English. He also leaves behind several grandchildren and a great-grandchild, all of whom brought him great joy and pride. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Sr. and Stella Mae Ramey English, as well as his siblings, Donnie English, James Allen English, and Archie English Jr. He was also preceded in death by two children, Jennifer English and Gary English Jr and his beloved poochie (his dog). Their memories remained a part of his life, and he will carry them in his heart always.
Those who knew Gary will remember him as a little rough around the edges but underneath an overall loving person ready to lend a hand. He had a deep appreciation for his family and found his greatest happiness in spending time with those closest to him. His presence brought comfort and familiarity, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Gary Wayne English will be remembered with a love that supercedes his struggles and respect for the life he chose to live by the family he cherished. Though he is no longer here, the legacy of his wisdom, dedication, and his love for his family will remain a lasting part of the lives he touched.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday September 23, 2026, by Pastor Krista Hampton at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY. Burial followed in the Millersburg Cemetery, Millersburg, KY.
Visitation was from 11-1 PM Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Jessica King, Jeremy King, Melissa King, Brandon Parker, Santiago King, Xavier Locker. Honorary pallbearers were Robbie Collier and Donna Jean English.
