Pamela Kay Shepherd

Pamela Kay Shepherd, 67, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. Born April 15, 1959 in Carlisle to the late Edward and Margaret M. Colmire Jolly, she was a retired supervisor for Fayette District Court. Pam enjoyed going on cruises, watching her favorite TV shows, going to the casino and playing slot machines, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family and friends. Pam was a kind hearted person who never met a stranger and was loved by everyone she met.
Pam is survived by her husband, Gleynas Joe Shepherd; her son Branden (Jeannie) Jolly, a daughter Chasta Peyton, and a son Chad Jolly; a step-daughter Belinda (Wayne) Jarvis, a step-daughter Tina Qualtieri and a step-son, Todd Shepherd; five grandchildren, Tori Peyton, Jasmine Metcalf, Quinton Peyton, Dylan Jolly and Makenzie Jolly; two great grandchildren Kameron Stull and Ty’shaun Myers; five step-grandchildren; Nicole Bolt, Heather Papineau, Justin Shepherd, Miranda Qualtieri and Tessa Qualtieri; and several step-great grandchildren; three sisters Wanda Thornsburg, Irene Mitchell and Imogene Baber and several very special nieces and nephews, and a very special best friend, Amanda Blanton, her dog Biscuit and many other friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Larry Jolly and Tommy Jolly and four sisters Sylvia “Sib” Mitchell, Linda (Virgil) Walters, Mildred “Millie” Jolly, Beverly (Rod) Montgomery; a sister-in-law, Jeanette (William “Bill” Sr.) Mullins and three other brothers-in-law Avery D. Thornsburg, Billy Baber, and John Mitchell, several nieces and nephews, a son-in-law, Bryan Peyton; a step-son-in-law, Mark Qualtieri; and one great grandchild, Ny’la Jade Myers.
Visitation was at Kerr Brother’s funeral home on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington on Oct. 5 and the service immediately followed.
Burial was at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Casket Bearers were Branden Jolly, Chad Jolly, Stephen Royse, Nick Bromagen, Brad Mitchell, and Duane Rininger. Honorary Casket Bearers were Quinton Peyton, Dylan Jolly and Mason Griffith.
