Mary Anna Jones Stipp, 84, widow of the late William Robert Stipp, Jr., died Monday April 13, 2020.
A native of Bourbon County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Walter V. Jones, Sr. and the late Ruth Bryant Jones. She was a homemaker and a retired farmer and a member of the Clintonville Church of the Nazarene, where she served as the treasurer for over 28 years. Mary Anna loved her family and her church very much.
She is survived by two children, Lee Ann Stipp and Robert Stipp; three grandchildren, Stacy Stipp, Kelsey Stipp and Robin Morton; two great grandchildren, Conner Stipp and Colton Stipp; daughter-in-law, Brenda Stipp; one brother, Donnie Jones; Brother-in-law, Allen Clarke; sister-in-law, Marie Jones and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Sageser and Linda Clark; one brother, Walter V. Jones, Jr. and one stepson, William “Lucky” Stipp.
The family has elected to hold a private service at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home and a private burial at the Clintonville Cemetery for immediate family only in remembrance of Mary Anna Stipp. Out of respect for the Governor’s request for no gatherings over 10 people, we want to do our part to respect all people of Kentucky as well as pay tribute to the beloved Mrs. Stipp.
Pallbearers will be Rob Stipp, Stacy Stipp, Mike Jones, Bruce Jones, Chris Clarke and Allen Clarke.
Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Clarke II, Jamie Kerby, Brandon Hill, Wesley Hill, Codie Hill and Don Adams.
There will be a memorial service held for family and friends at a later date.
