David Allen Harney

David Allen Harney, husband of Teresa Martin Harney, departed this life at his home, on Monday, July 20, 2020, with family by his side, having attained the age of 67 years. He was born in Nicholas County, on October 29, 1952, the son of the late Everett Marvin and Christine Blake Harney, was a 1970 graduate from Bourbon County High School, a Veteran of the United States Air Force, worked as a maintenance engineer at CMWA as well as a mechanic at Dodd Wells Service Station, and a member of Ruddles Mill Christian Church.

In addition to his wife Teresa, his is survived by three children, Rodney (Chase) Harney, Timmy (Denise) Harney, Deanna (Jeremy) Garrett; an adopted daughter, Ella Kay Hutchison Harney; and two additional children they loved as their own, Heaven Martin and Mason Martin. Also surviving are three brothers, Bobby G. (Ingrid) Harney, Ronnie E. (Charlene) Harney, Robert Scott (Dana) Harney; a sister, Carolyn R. (David) Kerns; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The funeral service for David Allen Harney will be held at 8:00 p.m. on July 23, 2020, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. John McGuire officiating. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., prior to the service.
