Ralph Arnold “Teddy” Black

Ralph Arnold “Teddy” Black, 65, son of the late Mary Dorsey, passed away on Friday October 23, 2020 at his home surrounded by family and friends.
He worked more than 20 years at Big Daddy’s as a bartender as well as fast food. Ralph was a die hard Louisville fan and faithful member of Zion Baptist Church.
He is survived by a loving daughter, Sylvia Black; son, Shane (Ashley) Rison; brother, Clarence (Mattelene) Black; aunt, Elizabeth Pierce; special son, James (Jessica) Trumbo; very special friend, Sarah Trumbo; loving cousin Trish (Jesse) Hunter; special grandchildren, Chloe, Harrison and Hayden Trumbo; host of sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, very special bonus son, Pervis Dumphord.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brother, George “G.K.” Black, Jr.; sister, Sylvia Ann Black and a nephew, Gary “Scootie” Lawrence.
The Ransom family held a very special place in his heart as well as the Black family.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Dr. Morgan Gilkey and Rev. Aaron Crumbie.
Visitation is from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Pervis Dumphord, Milton Locke, Gary Brooks, Kerry Thomas, Henry Howard and Gary Trumbo.
Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Garrard, Keith Taylor, Tim Taylor, Rodney Cosby, Floyd Walton, Randolph Thomas and Carl Ray.
The family wants to give a special thank you to Hospice of the Bluegrass and to Ashley Hudnall and Diane Gorey.
