Rocky John Amburgey

Rocky John Amburgey passed away October 23, 2020. He was born in Nicholas County December 30, 1955 to the late Johnie and Mildred King Amburgey. He was a Horseman his whole life, he worked at Omega Farm for many years. He loved U.K. Basketball, he was a hard worker, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing with his grandkids, he had a good sense of humor and a great storyteller.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Amburgey, two daughters, Tera (Eric) Evans and Jennifer Amburgey, six grandchildren; Brady Amburgey, Jonathan Graves, Lauren Hicks, Colby Gray, Hilliary Gray, Thomas Evans and Mike (Cara) Smith, whom he loved like a son, two sisters, Margie (Joe) Jones and Kathy Lawson, one brother, Randy Amburgey with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a brother, Arnold Creech.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Private funeral services for family only will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Carlisle-Clark Funeral Home with Kenny Bussell and Jackie Hester officiating with burial following in the Carlisle Cemetery. Anyone wanting to come to the Cemetery is welcome to do so. Pallbearers are Randy Amburgey, Mike Smith, Rocky James Amburgey, Brady Amburgey, Jonathan Graves, and Colby Gray.
