William Reed, 80, widower of the late Lorena Highley Reed, died Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Edgemont Nursing Home, Cynthiana, KY.
He was born in Mt. Sterling, KY to the late John Richard and Amanda Curtis Reed. He was a retired farmer and a former employee of Bundy Tubing and Monesson Hearth Co. He was also a member of the Spears Mill Baptist Church and loved to coon hunt.
He is survived by four sons, Anthony Wayne Reed, William Newton (Paula) Reed, Kenneth Paul (Sheila) Reed and Edward Earl (Linda) Reed; one daughter, Bonnie Reed; nine grandchildren, Wayne (Brittany) Reed, Barbara Jean (Jason) Mattingly, Amanda Lee (Michael) North, Cassidy Jean Reed, Heather Renee (Cody) Thornton, Edward Earl (Laura) Reed, Jr., Daniel Clay (Hailie Dawn) and Raymond Adam Reed; four step grandchildren, Steven Williams, Kenny Williams (Sierra Ritchie), Kimberly Williams and Kayla Thompson (Justin McCormick); several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth (Sandy) Reed and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Reed, Jr., Sammy Reed and Ledford Reed.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Sam Campbell and Rev. Robert Highley. Burial followed in the Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry, KY.
Pallbearers are Wayne Reed, Edward Reed, Daniel Reed, Raymond, Robert, Matthew, Justin and Michael.
