Ruby Lee Kenney Hunt
Ruby Lee Kenney Hunt, 83, wife of the late Jimmy Dale Hunt, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020, at her home.
Born September 30, 1937 in Nicholas County to the late Marvin Earl and Olive B. Morris Kenney, she was a former employee of MMI and the Bourbon Laundry, worked for many years farming, was a devoted homemaker and member of the Mountain Mission Church. Ruby loved taking rides in the country to look at the scenery, going out to eat and visiting the dog park.
Surviving are three children: Ricky (Betty Mae) Hunt and Glenn (Penny) Hunt, both of Nicholas County, and Regina Pattie, of Millersburg; a brother, Robert (Vernita) Kenney; a sister, Libby (Tommy) Smith, both of Millersburg; eight granchildren: Leslie (John) Hall, Holly (Justin) St. Clair, Lori Hunt (Cory Heitzman), Brandon Hunt (Morgan Barnes), Jenna Hunt, Cody Hunt, Brooklyn Earlywine Hunt and Justin Pattie; several great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Pookah.
Also preceding her in death was a son-in-law, Rob Pattie.
Services were Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home with burial following in Millersburg Cemetery.
Casketbearers were Mike Cohorn, Phillip Cundiff, John Fryman, Junior Fryman, Daniel Hall, Junior Hunt, Robert “Rob” Kenney, Jr. and Justin Pattie.
Honorary bearers were Bobby Clines, John Hall, Jr., John Hall, Sr., Robert Kenney, Sr., Bill Leonard, Doug Lowery, Robbie Moore and Danny Poe.
