James W. “Jim” McGlothin

James W. “Jim” McGlothin, 62, passed away Thursday December 24, 2020 along with his wife Lisa Roberts McGlothin.
He was born in Dayton, OH, to the late Chester E. McGlothin, Sr. and the late Mary Shirlene Fairchild McGlothin.  He was a Bailiff for the Fleming County Sheriffs Department, a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the River of Life Ministries, Paris, KY and Victory Baptist Church, Flemingsburg, KY.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post 627 and Jim was an avid guitar player and singer and was a dedicated member of the Trick Shot Band.
He is survived by two children, James Elwood (Vanessa) McGlothin and Michael Shane (Edan) McGlothin; eight grandchildren, Danielle, Gavin, Jonathan, Tyler, Haleigh, Derek, Kovven and Kannon McGlothin; several step grandchildren; one brother, Elwood (Beth) McGlothin; two stepdaughters, Veronica Hamm and Renee Petitt; sister-in-law, Barbie Fields; one niece, Karol (Matthew) Morris; two nephews, Clayton (Ashley) McGlothin and Travis McGlothin; five great nieces, Brinley Morris, Addison, Elsie, Ansley and Kenlee McGlothin and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded by a wife, Elsie Mae Moore McGlothin; aunt, Opal Fairchild; maternal grandparents, Avery and Allene Fairchild and paternal grandparents, John and Bessie McCarty McGlothin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 PM Tuesday December 29, 2020 at the River of Life Ministries, 616 Clintonville Rd., Paris, KY by Pastor Krista Hampton.  Burial will follow at the Millersburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM Tuesday December 29, 2020 until the hour of service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Clayton McGlothin, Travis McGlothin, Elwood McGlothin, David Ratliff, Danny Barbee and Thurston Vance.
Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Whaley, Cody Whaley, Matthew Morris, Artis Greene and Harvey Dyer.
The arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY 40361.
