Maggie Louise Emmons Hatton

Maggie Louise Emmons Hatton, 93, wife of the late Edward Hatton, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.

Born June 9, 1927 in Bath County to the late Clarence and Della Sargent Emmons, she was a devoted homemaker and longtime member of Grace Gospel Church in Sharpsburg.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Margaret Hatton, of Nicholas County; a son, Danny (Beckie) Hatton, of Paris; her grandchildren: Carol Hatton, Jill (Jason) Hurt, Glenn Hatton, Monica (Frank) Durham and Brandon Hatton; and several great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Joan Hatton; a son, Larry W. Hatton; two grandsons, Adam and Jason Hatton; five brothers: Arnold, Ollie, Kenneth, Clyde and James Scott Emmons; and four sisters: Nellie Hurst, Lida Smith, Anna Haney and Aileen Toy.

Private graveside services were held in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to PAWS-Paris Animal Welfare Society, 6 Legion Drive, Paris, Kentucky 40361.
