Donald Ray “Donnie” Toadvine
Donald Ray “Donnie” Toadvine, 70, husband of Connie Massey Toadvine, died Monday, March 22, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY.
He was born in Paris, KY, to the late Theodore and Elsie Maude Ginter Toadvine. He was a retired construction foreman for Hinkle Contracting and a farmer. Donnie was also involved in the Central Kentucky Antique Machinery Association, Kentucky High School Rodeo Association and the Bourbon County 4-H. He loved showing sheep, attending antique tractor shows and going on family vacations. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Paris, KY.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three children, Joseph Ray Toadvine, Donald Brent Toadvine and Vonda Lynn Blancett; eight grandchildren, Alan (Katina) Alami, Tara (Robert) Palmer, Cole Blancett, Grant Blancett, Wesley David, Danielle Toadvine, Jesse Cole and Raelynn Toadvine; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy (Randy) Clark and EllaJo Bolton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Amy Toadvine David and two brothers, Teddy Toadvine and Roger Toadvine.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2021, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 920 Clintonville Rd., Paris, KY by Bishop Steven Pearce. Burial will follow in the Paris Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 26, 2021, until the hour of service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Chris Craft, Bryan Craft, Allen Bennett, Andy Toadvine, Wesley David, Jesse Cole, Grant Blancett and James Yoder.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Blancett, Donnie Dailey, Earl Munday, Bobby Ballard, Anthony Bailey, Wes Howard, Herbert Bennett, Jr., Amos Bennett, and David Mefford.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Arthritis Foundation, 1355 Peachtree St. NE, Suite 600, Atlanta, GA, 30309 or to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA, 22116.
