Mary Ruth Long Dampier
Mary Ruth Long Dampier, 78, wife of Jimmy Martin Dampier, died Wednesday May 19, 2021, at her home.
She was born at her family home on Peacock Road in Paris, KY, to the late Virgil Estes and Elsie Ruth Hedges Long. She was a homemaker, long time member of the Bedford Acres Christian Church and was an avid reader.
In addition to her husband, she was also survived by four children, Debbie (Jamie) Clough, Janis (Mike) Selvey, Marty (Claudia) Dampier and Sabrina (James) Cunningham; son-in-law, Shawn Robinson; fourteen grandchildren, Julian, Jennifer, Jason, Sarah, Casey, Kendel, Brian, Lauren, Jamie, James, Christin, Wesley, Kaden and Chase; twenty one great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Reinsmith, Phyllis (Roy) Courtney and Brenda Cook; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by; a daughter, Danielle Renee Robinson; grandson, Korey Sanford; two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 24, 2021, at the Bedford Acres Christian Church, 5414 Lexington Rd., Paris, KY, Rev. Jim Hutchison. Burial will follow in the Paris Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 24, 2021, until the hour of service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Julian Dewald, Wesley Robinson, Michael Courtney, Andrew Biddle, Wayne Reinsmith, Wesley Purcell, Steven Cook and Randy Long.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Dampier, Daniel Dampier, Billy Purcell, Roy Courtney, Kaden Cunningham, Chase Cunningham, Terry Arnold, Bradley Purcell, Jonathan Jones, Alan Abney and Jeff Asbury.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Bedford Acres Christian Church, 5414 Lexington Rd., Paris, KY 40361.
