Thomas Andrew “Tommy” Cope

Thomas Andrew “Tommy” Cope, 35, husband of Ashley Barlow Cope, died Wednesday, May 19, 2021 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born January 24, 1986 in Lexington, son of Gary Cope and Beverly “Be Be” Brannon. Tommy attended Bourbon County High School through his Junior year and graduated from Menifee County High School.

In addition to his wife and parents, Tommy is survived by a son, Timmy Cope; daughter, Katie Cope; stepson, Levi Smith; brother, Robbie (Dena) Wagoner; two sisters, Laura Stigall, Kristi Burton; mother-in-law, Beverly Blakeman; three stepsisters, Holly LeMay, Carmen LeMay, Leigha Young; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Robin Michelle “Shelley” Cope; and his father-in-law, Alton Barlow.

A memorial gathering was held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. There was a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 24, 2021, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Pastor Kyle Sullivan officiating. www.hintonturner.com
