Sharlene South
Sharlene South, 54, wife of Rocky South, went home to be with the lord, Sunday, June 13, 2021.
Sharlene was born in Bourbon County and was the daughter of the late Dailey Eugene and Carolyn Louise Berryman Abney.
Sharlene is survived by her two daughters, Ashley (Wayne) Myers of Paris and Amanda (Cody) Blevins of Lawrence burg; four grandchildren, Aubree and Weston Blevins, and Brody and Jasmesyn Blevins; one sister Lora Abney and one brother Duke Abney; two step daughters Autumn and Summer South.
Sharlene was head server and trainer at Waffle House in Beaumont for over 25 years. Sharlene loved the lord and was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church. She was especially close to her in-laws, Ruth and JW Willis, Missy and David Tharpe, Phillip and Tammy Pittman, Kelci and Robb Cavender and Mike and Jake Caudill, Drew, Ashley Payton and Addi. She loved her nieces, nephews and cousins and her Waffle House and Heritage Baptist families.
In addition to her parents, Sharlene was preceded in death by a son, Charles Thomas “CT” Shryock.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Heritage Baptist Church, 163 N. Ashland Avenue, with Drew Hammond officiating.
Visitations will be 10 a.m., till the hour of service. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY, at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Main Street in Lexington.
