Joseph “Joe Joe” Bradford Taylor
Joseph Bradford Taylor, 63, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at his home in Shawan, with family by his side.
He was a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Bonnie Bingham Taylor; daughter, Brenda Jo Highland; son, Lawrence Wolford Lucas. Grandchildren Noah Presley Highland and Miriam Ivy Lucas. Sisters Bonnie Lykins (Maurice), Sally Thurmond (Wesley); one sister, Susan Horn (Bascom), that preceded him in death.
Joey’s father and mother preceded him in death, James and Josephine Taylor. Joey was self employed and ran JoeJoes Small Engine Repair. He loved to tinker with engines. He served in the U.S. Army for 4 years and the Army Reserves for 8 years.
As a young man he like to fish.
While in the VA hospital the chaplain came and talked to Joey. That was a great day, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.
The funeral service will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY, on September 9, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Sam Chanslor officiating.
