Mayme J. Lanon
Mayme J. Lanon was born on September 18, 1935, in Paris, KY. She died Monday, October 11, 2021, at Bourbon Heights Nursing Home in Paris, KY. She was the daughter of Willie H. and Fannie Howe Lanon, both of whom preceded her in death.
Mayme was educated in the Paris School System and was a lifelong member of Zion Baptist Church. Although Mayme was a very quiet person, her greatest joy was being around her family and church members.
Five sisters, Lena Mae Thomas, Minnie Perkins, Ruth Dobbins, Anna (George) Johnson, (Who cared for her) and Julia Scott preceded Mayme in death. Her survivors include two brothers, William “Bill” (Fannie) Lanon of Sumpter, SC and Robert “Bobby” (Margaret) Lanon of Louisville, KY; a special nephew, Clarence Greene, Jr. (Darlene); a special niece, Roselyn Grant; a special cousin, Constance Nutter and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 18, 2021, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY, by Rev. William Allen. Burial will follow in the Cedar Heights Cemetery, Paris, KY.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 18, 2021, until the hour of service at the funeral home.
