Judy Ann Olson
Judy Ann Olson, 76, of Paris, KY, passed away on Thursday, November 25, at her home surrounded by her family after battling a long illness.
Judy was born July 18, 1945, in Carlisle, KY, to the late Ernest and Dorothy Stanfield.
Judy was a devoted housewife and mother. She cleaned houses for some long term clients who were more like her family. She was also a familiar face for people who visited the fair where she worked for Synder and Metts Amusements through the summer months. She was famous for her caramel apples. She also volunteered at school and for anyone else who needed a helping hand. She adored her two granddaughters who were the loves of her life. Judy has touched many lives here in Bourbon County and she will be greatly missed. She was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her two children Gayle (Wesley) Tipton of Paris; Michael Olson (Kassandra Poynter) of Paris; two granddaughters, Hannah Grace Tipton and Micah Ann Olson; one grandson, Boston Michael Olson, three sisters, Sarah Stanfield of Versailles, KY, Bertha Stanfield of Lexington, KY, Linda Gookins of Yelm, Washington; two brothers, Connie (Patty) Stanfield of Nicholasville, KY, Billy (Sharon) Stanfield of Versailles, KY, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also leaving behind her best friend Julie Ferrell.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Olson Jr., one sister, Ollie Vance, one brother Donnie Stanfield, two daughters, Tammy Lee Olson and Cheryl Lynn Olson.
