Sharon Wagoner
Sharon Wagoner, 82, beloved wife of the late Larry C. Wagoner and loving mother of Kelly (Edwin) Berger and grandmother of Nico Berger, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 16, 2021.
Sharon was a graduate of Paris High School and employed for many years at Stoner Creek Stud Farm where she loved and admired both the people and the beautiful horses. Years later she worked for both Toyota and Bourbon County Schools where she enjoyed spending time working with children, which she loved very much.
Sharon was also a devoted member of First Christian Church and the June Stanley Women’s Group as well as The Women’s Club of Paris where she had many wonderful friends. Sharon was a beautiful soul inside and out, dedicated to her family, friends, church and all of the creatures of the earth. Always ready with a joke or a crazy story, she was loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her daughter Kelly, son in law, Edwin and grandson Nico, Sharon is survived by two sisters, Brenda Somers and Janice Boyd, both of Lexington as well as many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much. Also grateful for special friends, Clyde and Nina Parsons and Deloris Brooks. Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Larry, her parents, Jerry and Dorothy Jackson, her sister Jerry Ann McFarland, and four brothers: Phillip Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, Ronald Jackson and Keith Jackson.
Friends and family are invited to attend visitation services at First Christian Church in Paris on Monday, December 20, from 11-1 p.m., followed by funeral service at 1 p.m., with Rev. Jeff Bell officiating. Interment will be in the Paris Cemetery Arrangements by Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.
