Thomas Wayne “Tommy” Scott

Thomas Wayne “Tommy” Scott, husband of Lynn Snapp Scott of North Middletown, departed this life on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY, have attained the age of 76 years.
Thomas was born November 18, 1945, in Kenton County, KY, the son of the late McCauley and Mildred Colvin Scott, was a graduate of the 1964 class at Bourbon County High School, was a factory worker, and a truck driver for North Middletown. He was a member of North Middletown Church of the Nazarene where he worked as their custodian and took care of their mowing and landscaping.
In addition to his wife Lynn of 56 years, he is survived by a son, John Thomas Scott; a daughter, Tammy Layne Scott-Mattox and her husband Wayne; six grandchildren, Jonathan Scott (Destiny Cook), Justice Scott (Courtney Drury), Michaela Scott Samantha Mattox, Chelsee Mattox, and Caylin Markley. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Conley Scott, Hadley Scott, Monroe Scott, Addilyn Marshall, Summer Marshall, and Beau Scott who will join them later in the year; a sister, Rhonda Franklin and her husband Phillip; as well as a special friend, Arlene Eades who was like a sister to him.
The funeral service for Thomas Wayne “Tommy” Scott will be at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Pastor Amy Majewski officiating. Interment will be in North Middletown Cemetery with casket bearers being John Scott, Jonathan Scott, Justice Scott, Wayne Mattox, Michael Brown, and Glenn Scott. Honorary bearers are Eddie Barnett, Eric Scott, Bill Knippenberg, Clarence Honaker, Phillip Franklin, and Kenny Franklin. Visitation will be on Sunday evening, January 23, 2022, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
