Emilie Margaret Moore Tucker
Emilie Margaret Moore Tucker, 88 Paris, passed away February 8, 2022. Born to the late John R. Moore and Isabelle Crawley Moore on May 31, 1933, in Lexington. She was preceded in death by husband Shuck Wilson Tucker, Sr., of 63 years.
She was an active member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church and Hutchison United Methodist Church in Bourbon County. She graduated from Athens High School in 1951. She attended the University of Kentucky and worked as a dietitian there for more than 20 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Girl Scout leader, Director of Vacation Bible School and member of the Bourbon County Homemakers. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, and reading.
She is survived by her four children: Shuck Wilson Tucker, Jr. (Jacequline), Margaret Jane Eldridge-Bailey (Lawrence), Anna Louise Montgomery (David) and Melinda Jo Tucker; six grandchildren, Shuck Wilson Tucker, III (Heather), William Tucker, and Dakota Tucker, Amanda Lynn Eldridge and Whitney Morgen Eldridge, Zachary Tyler Tucker, and Elliot Smith; six great-grandchildren, Katelynn Edwards and Isabella Tucker, and Brandon Tucker and Ryan Tucker, Alexandria Bills, Joshua Green; sister Kathy Wilson (Charlie) and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 15, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Milward-Broadway. The funeral will be Wednesday, February 16, at 11:00 a.m., Milward-Broadway. Burial will follow at Lexington Cemetery. The pallbearers are Bobby Tucker, Johnny Tucker, Jimmy Tucker, Wes Hensley, David Tucker, Elliot Smith and Tommy Turner. The honorary pallbearers are Judy Woosely, Ann Hollingsworth, Fra Vaughn, David Clarkson, Sara Durham, Steve and Phyllis Belchelder, Wanda Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, please, donations to Hopewell Presbyterian Church or Hutchison United Methodist Church, both in Bourbon County.
