Marvin J. Doyle
Marvin J. Doyle, 81, husband of 61 years to Sue Cartmill Doyle, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Bourbon Heights in Paris.
Born October 7, 1940 in Harrison County to the late Rice Jones “RJ” and Ada Mae Vickers Doyle, he was a retired employee of Jockey International, a lifelong farmer, former member of what had been the Carlisle Assembly of God Church, attended the Victory Chapel and Bluegrass Cowboy Church. Marvin was an avid outdoorsman– who greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting, loved horses and until recently was vice president of the wagon club.
Additional survivors include his three children: Terry (Valerie) Doyle, of Nicholas County, and Randy (Paula) Doyle and Marcy (Rod) Arnold, both of Bourbon County; two brothers, Jerry Wayne Doyle and Carroll Lynn (Patty) Doyle, both of Cynthiana; a beloved uncle, Garnett Vickers, of Ewing; a special granddaughter, April Tipton, and seven additional grandchildren: Kelly (Jonathan) Herrington, Ashley Rowlett, Kayla Mason, Dustin Tyler (Chelsea) Doyle, Hollie (Nathan) Coyle, Carter Arnold and Parker Arnold; and eight great-grandchildren: Kodey Smith, Axyl Rowlett, Lincoln and Silas Herrington, Mya and Corie Kuster, Mason McCauley and Crew Doyle.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Janet May.
Services were 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 23, 2022 at the New Beginnings Church by Bro. Kevin Miles and Bro. Larry Tucker. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Casketbearers were Carter Arnold, Parker Arnold, Brian Doyle, Danny Doyle, Dustin Doyle and Kodey Smith.
Honorary bearers were Bobby Brady, John Cleaver, Billy Dixon and Homer Rader and Mark Risinger.
Visitation was after 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cancer Care Club or the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging at the University of Kentucky.
