Elmetta Penn was born to Irene and James Henderson on November 20, 1933. A longtime resident of Paris, Kentucky, she passed away on July 9th, 2022 at the age of 88.
Elmetta attended Western Elementary and Western High School in Paris. She was a member of 7th Street Christian Church.
Elmetta was married to Harold Penn who was in the Air Force which had them living in several places including Germany, California, and Washington State. For many of those years, Elmetta worked on the bases in which they were stationed. Unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce. They had no children. Elmetta stayed close with her family even when they were miles apart. She always enjoyed the times they had together. Elmetta was never one to ask for much. She was content with whatever she had.
Elmetta was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and James Henderson, and her brothers, Benny, Johnny, and James Henderson. She is survived by her sister, Irene Fisher (James), nephews, Ronnie Mack (Ruth) and James Fisher, Jr.; nieces, Carolyn Jones and Teresa Fisher, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to all of her caregivers throughout the years and for all the special attention that Ronnie and Ruth gave her.
There will be no services.
